We take pride in building and preparing the top epoxy floor coatings this side of the Mississippi. Due to our impeccable workmanship, our attention to detail, and our can-do attitude, we have become one of Sunrise, Florida’s top epoxy suppliers.

An epoxy floor coating will turn a dull, bland concrete slab into something that will make heads roll. A far cry from floor paint, epoxy is the end-all-be-all flooring solution that you have been waiting for.

Does a nearly indestructible, chemical-proof, impact-proof, hypoallergenic, and badass-looking floor sound good? We thought so.

Epoxy flooring is an incredibly durable, space-age technology that is the absolute best choice for residential and commercial purposes. Used in hospitals and restaurants for its antimicrobial properties, and placed in garages and machine shops for its durability, epoxy checks all the boxes that a safe flooring solution would need.

What Is An Epoxy Floor Coating?

  1. One part epoxy resin
  2. One part polyamine hardener

Before the application, we’ll mix both parts together – along with any additional color/style/anti-slip options as well. Epoxy – if it is not colored – will come out looking like a clear coating… so if you want a special color for your floor, it is important to let us know beforehand.

After the two parts of the epoxy solution are mixed, we are limited by temperature and time as to how long we have to apply the mixture to the surface of the floor. The epoxy curing time will differ between mixtures and additives used. Unlike paint drying, epoxy cures – which means it takes time for the two components of the mixture to cross-link to create an impenetrable layer.

Can’t I Just Buy An Epoxy Floor Kit Myself?

You could. You could also try to lead a hiking expedition without any formal training either. Neither of these scenarios are smart options. The issue with home-bought epoxy flooring systems is that they tend to have a low solids count (and also tend to be low in quality).

What the heck is a solids count?

Essentially, 100% solids epoxy has a wet film thickness of 10 millimeters and will dry at just that – 10 millimeters. . It is also a lot harder to apply than a 50% solids epoxy. A 50% solids epoxy will have a wet film thickness of 6 millimeters – but it’ll dry at 3 millimeters. Many of these DIY kits are less than 48%. That lower number means it is almost as easy to apply as paint is. Its lower solids count means less quality, less durability, and a higher chance that you’ll miss a spot.

Plus, let’s face it – you’re probably not a professional contractor. Applying an epoxy coating takes a lot of skill and training to pull off properly. Plus, if your concrete floor is damaged or not level during the epoxy installation process, you’ll be sure not to have a uniform floor. This is why it is so important to hire a reputable epoxy flooring company that has years of experience.
